On April 8, 2019 The Inventors Association of New England and the Artisan’s Asylum had a combined meeting at The Artisan’s main center in Somerville, MA. Inventors and creative folks combined met and discussed how each group can help each other to develop products that could be developed for future commercial sales. Five speakers displayed their ideas including inventions to help weigh disabled people in wheelchairs, gold plated fairly magic wands and even a working hoverboard for wheelchairs.
After the speakers, attendees got to go on tours of the 40,000 square foot facility. The Asylum has equipment for metalworking, woodworking, laser cutting, electronic assembly, photography, computing and more. Classes are taught for those that wish to learn new skills.
